As a sophomore, I am feeling the time flies. Recalling about the past one year, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. At this time, I just can’t tell my real idea. The memory is just like so fresh, and all the things happened yesterday!

When first day I came to University, I really feel that the school is very good, but at the first sight of the dormitory, something disappointing come up to me! The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory! I saw something sad in my father’s eyes, maybe that time he thought of the poor condition! So with a big smile on my face, I told my father” it doesn’t matter, Dad. In this kind of condition, I will get myself better!” My father felt better. But when he was coming back, seeing his back, I just wanted to cry! I felt in this city I was just isolated, from that time, I said to myself, “ you have no others who can help you here, just depend on yourself”

And then I came to my dormitory 303. I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling!

Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the classmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training. He always said to me that I should be serious in the team but I didn’t listen to him. So after a long time, when investigating the training result, I gave them a disappointing answer. The highest trainer sent me to clean the toilet, although, it didn’t means insulting to my dignity, but I was really sad about myself and my heart was hurt. That was a small thing but told me that I need to be serious to one thing. And unhappiness passed, the happy and funny time recalled me that folding the blanket. Yeah, it’s really very funny. Most of us had never folded the blanket and naturally we can’t accomplish the task well. When the monitor came, we pleased him to help us to fold the blanket. To our expect, we managed to persuade the monitor. After the monitor finished the task for me. I dared not to touch the blanket again and just used the clothes instead of the blanket. Of course, I felt very cold in deep night, so to my instinct, I crashed into my classmate’s blanket. And we were scratching the single blanket fiercely, just like a war.

三、活動目的

為進一步加強我校大學生的科技創新意識、創新精神和實踐動手能力，充分展示校園科技創新活動成果，全面推動全校學風建設，我校決定舉辦“XX年大學生科技節”系列活動，在此次科技節系列活動中，外國語學院決定在近期舉辦一場科技英語演講比賽。

四、活動背景

在21世紀的今天，英語在國際交流中的作用不言而喻，隨着我國科技的不斷髮展，人才要求的日益提高，科技英語變得十分重要;學好科技英語,掌握流暢的口語是順應社會發展所必備的素質。因此，外國語學院團委準備在近期舉行一場“培養科學精神，提高實踐創新能力”為主題的科技演講比賽。

五、活動範圍及對象

活動對象是我校全體在校大學生，其中本學院大一大二每兩個班至少派出一位參賽選手，其他同學亦可以以個人名義報名參加。

六、比賽具體流程

〈一〉初賽

初賽以學院為單位進行，由各學院老師和同學選出至少一名選手參加外國語學院的複賽。

初賽在8日前結束。

<二>複賽

複賽以外國語學院為單位，評委由外院老師和學生會學習部成員共同組成。 經過初賽的選拔，我們會選出11名優秀選手參加全校決賽。

複賽時間暫定11月9號。

〈三〉決賽

複賽在50號樓503舉行，評委由外院老師及外教組成。

複賽日期暫定11月12號。

評分標準：

1、內容要求：主題鮮明，內容清楚、結構清晰、中心突出，合理展開、闡釋充分、證據相關、邏輯性強，內容生動、不枯燥，能吸引聽眾注意力。 (30分)

2、語言要求：使用標準英國英語或美國英語。語言準確(發音清晰，音調、音高合適，用詞準確、相關)，語言流利(注意連讀、詞重音、句重音、語調和節奏等)。 (30分)

3、技巧要求：自信，有感情與氣勢;注意手勢、眼神與身體語言;幽默感(不能是啞劇式的幽默或調侃);適當使用修辭手段(比喻、類比等)。 (30分)

4、時間控制：定題演講在2分30秒時有工作人員提示，超過3分15秒，或不足2分45秒，扣1-5分。 (10分)

5、道具使用：定題演講中允許使用實物、圖片等輔助道具，但僅限使用一次道具，使用道具過多將被酌情扣分。

評獎與獎勵：

決賽產生一等獎1名，二等獎2名，三等獎3名，優秀獎5名

八、活動前期準備：

1、10月28號通知各學院，請他們於11月8月號前選出至少一名參加複賽的同學。

2、提前申請好活動場地，申請展板攤位。

3、製作宣傳海報兩份，設計宣傳單並複印若干份，提前宣傳整個活動

4、做好活動所需材料的準備：把幹事分為兩組，宣傳小組和設計小組，設計小組主要負責海報、傳單、邀請函、獎狀的設計和決賽當天現場佈置方案、物資準備，而宣傳小組主要負責初賽到決賽的.宣傳，並且負責邀請評委嘉賓。

5、聯繫好各部門的同學過來協助、幫忙

6、在新聞部調用同學準備負責拍攝，製作現場ppt等技術工作

People dream more or less about different things，to be a teacher，a doctor，a scientist，a businessman and so on the people who have dreams should be respected, because Dreams make the world go around . Martin Luther king had a dream. He desired for a future where both blacks and whites would coexist harmoniously as equals. He pushed forward the pace of black American society to the racial equality .

Thomas Edison had a dream. He dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, begenning where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality! And today, his dream lights up the whole world at night.

Walt Disney had a dream, which, in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was always dreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building an amusement park where parents, together with their kids, could enjoy themselves. Walt Disney empowered his dream and today, Disneyland, Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each year.

John F. kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to the earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life. John edy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on the face of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans a newly-founded confidence. Dream --- A world-changing word? Yes ,I will say so ,won't you ? Youth is a special life-relaying station , the growth with the worry ,the life feeling become aware happily with the dream ,collecting a unique youth melody here .

We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose, our lives are formed. In the end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most important, we are the one we choose to be.

It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,or our minutes is easy to exist than to live hold fast to your dreams, For if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, which cannot fly. 1.前期準備

(1)場地的租用與佈置，儘量簡潔，旨在營造一個輕鬆自然的比賽氛圍。(辦公室，學習部)

(2)報名表的設置，要包括選手的基本信息如姓名，院系，學號，聯繫方式等。(辦公室)

報名表大致樣式：

(3)進行大力宣傳，可聯繫圖書館的電子屏，陽光直播室進行宣傳，或在食堂，生活區等人流密集之地設置醒目宣傳海報。(宣傳部)

(4)保證比賽有足夠的資金能夠順利運行。(外聯部)

(5)準備好相機等媒體器材，對比賽進行圖片記錄。(項目部)

(6)英語知識問答的題目，共需20個問題，每2個編為1組，共10組。(學習部)

2.賽事説明

(1)報名於11月10日截止，由辦公室對選手進行編號，並以飛信的方式通知參賽的選手自己的出場順序。

(2)比賽流程:

①選手於11月11日晚進行初賽，比賽內容是3分鐘以內的脱稿演講，從以下話題中選：

A.自己學習英語的方法

B.介紹一部你最喜歡的電影

初賽的滿分為10分，由所有評委中去掉一個最高分和一個最低分，其餘取平均分的方法來決定參加複賽的20個選手的名單，並以飛信的方式通知進入複賽的選手。

②選手於11月12日晚進行決賽，比賽內容共分為四個部分：

A.第一部分：3分鐘以內的脱稿演講，題目為

a. keys to a happy life

b. the most important thing in relationship

c. opportunities and challenges in college life

中任選一個，此環節滿分為10分。

B.第二部分：評委在選手演講完後就文章本身或選手本人提出2～3個開放性回答的問題，以着重考查選手的.口頭表述能力。

此環節滿分為10分。

第一環節與第二環節結束後將淘汰5名選手。

C.第三部分：個人才藝展示(英語)，內容不限，時間為3分鐘以內.此環節結束後將淘汰5名選手。此環節滿分為10分，由所有評委中去掉一個最高分和一個最低分，其餘取平均分的方法來決定剩餘選手的名單。

D.第四部分：英語知識問答。每位選手抽籤選擇自己的問題。此環節滿分為10分，每人共回答5題，答對加2分，打錯不扣分。此環節結束後將評出本次比賽的冠、亞、季軍。

注：複賽成績為累加計算。

(3)評委評分標準：

①初試：主要看選手的語音，肢體語言，演講內容，精神面貌，語言組織能力，邏輯思維等。

②決賽: 主要看發音，臨場發揮能力，語言組織能力，精神面貌，演講內容等。

(4)獎勵方法：

①冠軍將得到一個價值598元的海爾軟件大禮包，一本詞彙書和獲獎證書。

②亞軍將得到一本詞彙書一個馬克杯和獲獎證書。

③季軍將得到一本詞彙書和獲獎證書

④另外，進入決賽的選手我們都將發放紀念品一份。

3.注意事項

(1)賽場應有專人引導選手入場。(外聯部)

(2)主持人應在比賽開始介紹比賽規則，評委，嘉賓及參加選手。

(3)在上一位選手演講時，應提示下一位選手做準備。

(4)提前檢查麥克風等設備，以確保比賽順利進行。

(5)對比賽進行圖片記錄和文字總結，並作為英語社的檔案存檔。

4.這次英語比賽規模龐大，牽涉眾多，要求各部緊密合作。

七、經費預算

主要包括對嘉賓及評委的招待費用，獎品的購置費用，報名表及評分表的製作費用等，具體數額待定。

八、活動意義

隨着國際競爭的日益增強，英語口語已成為衡量綜合型人才的一項重要標準。為了豐富學生的第二課堂，給學生更多的展示自我的機會和空間。為了創造濃厚的英語文化氛圍，掀起學英語、用英語的熱潮，培養全面發展的、綜合素質較高的人才，塑造新一代大學生的嶄新形象，sunshine英文社特舉辦此次英文演講比賽，一方面，豐富社團活動，另一方面，也為同學提供一次提高口語水平的機會。

九、活動可行性分析

1.社團角度

(1) 提供給同學們一次展示自我的平台，給同學們創造了一次互相交流的機會，幫助同學們提高自身的英語水平，秉承了SUNSHINE的組團宗旨。

(2)豐富了社團的歷史，鍛鍊了社團的能力，幫助了社團的成長。

(3) 在感恩節來臨之際，通過該活動回饋同學們長期以來對SUNSHINE英文社的支持。

(4)社團通過這次活動，積累了寶貴的經驗，繼續領跑校級社團。

2.選手角度

(1)有一次展示自己英語水平的機會，有一次與他人交流英語學習心得的機會，有一次找到志同道合的夥伴的機會，有一次對自己進入沈師以來的英語學習作一個總結的機會。

(2)鍛鍊自己的心理素質和演講能力，提高團隊合作精神，為將來進入社會，進行團結合作熱身。

acing this audience on the stage, i have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. it is an assembly of some of china’s most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.

When the topic “people and nature” first caught my eye, I was reminded

of a story about myself and my violin.

I began learning to play the violin when I was eight years old. At first, it was a very hard thing for me. After my continued efforts, I was
